You don't have to wait in line for hours in the sun or rain. Instead, you can do everything from your home, like opening a BO account, applying for an IPO, and managing your money.
The new rules for IPOs give each investor an equal share of the shares, based on how much they invest. This means that if an investor follows the rules, they will definitely get at least some shares in the company.
Application Conditions:
To apply for an IPO, you need to have at least Tk 50,000 worth of shares in your account. You can then subscribe to shares worth Tk 10,000. The shares must mature at least 5 days before the IPO application starts.
A, B, and N category shares take 3 working days to mature from the day of purchase, while Z category shares take 4 working days.
Therefore, you should buy shares worth at least 50,000 Taka at least 2 days before the maturity date.
If you can't buy the shares in time, you can buy them one working day before the cut-off date. The shares take one working day to mature.
On the cut-off date, the market value of your shares must be Tk 50,000 or less, or you won't be eligible for the IPO application.
After the cut-off date, you can either sell your shares or keep them to participate in the next IPO. The same rule applies to all upcoming IPOs.
For Example,
ABC Company will begin its IPO application on the 15th of each month, with the cut-off date set for the 10th of that month, which is five working days before.
Under the new IPO rules, your code or BO account should have mature shares with a market value of 50,000 Taka by the 10th.
If you want to hold shares maturing on the 10th, you need to buy Tk 50,000 worth of A B N shares 2 days before that date.
For Z category shares, you need to buy them at least 4 days before the cutoff date. If you buy shares on the 9th and it's a working day, they will mature on the same day.
Our Advice,
Customers should aim to buy shares worth more than 50,000 Taka because the market price on the cut-off date should be at least 50,000 Taka.
Even if the share price falls, it should not fall below TK 50,000 on the cut-off date due to the market's fluctuations.

For example, XYZ Company will enter the stock market with 1 crore shares for common investors. Suppose there are 10 lakh investors, each investing 10 thousand Taka.
Each investor will receive (1,00,00,000/10,00,000) = 10 shares. If the price per share is 10 taka, then each investor will receive 10 shares (10*10) = 100 taka. After deducting the IPO service charge of 10 taka, the remaining amount {10,000-(100+10)} = 9,890 will be credited to the investor's BO account.
After verification, the customer can withdraw or reuse the amount in the next IPO application.
